The Smethwick Medical Centre 
Smethwick and Hollybush Medical Centre form a general medical partnership providing GP services under an NHS contract.
The recent addition of Rood End Medical Centre to the partnership, means that we now provide our extensive range of medical services to almost 12,000 residents of Smethwick and the surrounding areas.

URGENT SWINE FLU NOTICE IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY • STAY AT HOME AND TELEPHONE RECEPTION • A DOCTOR WILL CALL YOU BACK • IF YOU NEED ANY FURTHER TREATMENT, THE DOCTOR WILL ARRANGE THIS FOR YOU IF YOU DO NOT HAVE FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY AND DO NOT ASK FOR APPOINTMENTS TO SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE ABOUT FLU SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN HAVE THEIR OWN FLU RESPONSE TEAM ASSIGNED TO THEIR SCHOOL, SO PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO THE SURGERY TO HELP US TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF SWINE FLU TO OTHER PATIENTS AND FRONTLINE STAFF - DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS. The Smethwick and Hollybush Medical Centres in partnership with Pathfinder Healthcare Developments cic (a social business) have been hard at work making changes to improve the quality of care that we provide you, including ways to make it easier for you to access the care you need. We are helping you to stay healthy and making sure that you have the best quality treatment possible. Throughout this process we have worked closely with our PPG (Patient Participation Group) and many patients who use our services. This programme of improvements is called SERVICE REDESIGN. It has almost been a year since we started discussing and drafting initial ideas. From first thoughts to first actions we are ready to share the journey with you. The Good the bad and the downright ugly! Come along to our next up-date meeting where you can hear about and contribute to the next steps in this exciting and challenging undertaking. Please join us at our next quarterly forum session that will be held on June 30th at Vision Point, Vaughan Trading Estate, Sedgley Road East, Tipton, DY 4 7UJ from 10:00 - 13:00. Lunch will be provided.
