If you are aged 75 or over you should be seen annually by your doctor, the practice nurse, elderly care nurse, district nurse or health visitor. If patients are not able to attend surgery, a home visit will be arranged with our elderly care nurse or health care assistant.
Contraceptive care is provided by all the doctors during surgery hours.

Fertility treatment - IVF by doctors’ referral only
Sandwell Primary Care Trust’s eligibility criteria for treatment are:
The couple in which the woman is aged 23 to 39 at the time of treatment.
Infertility should be defined as failure to conceive after regular unprotected sexual intercourse for 2 years in the absence of known reproductive pathology
Couples who have no surviving children together and who fulfil all other criteria will be eligible
The woman should have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of between 19 and 30 at the time commencement of treatment
Women who smoke should be referred to a Sandwell approved Smoking Cessation Service to support their efforts to stop smoking by following a structured NHS funded programme and must have stopped smoking before being referred.
Those couples where one or both partners have been voluntarily sterilised will not be eligible for treatment under this policy

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, residents of nursing and rest homes as well as those aged 65 and over. Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment.

If you have been asked to come for a smear, call reception and they will book you an appointment.
The doctors and nurses will offer you advice and information about how to stop smoking. If you wish, they will refer you to Sandwell Smoking Cessation service for more support and patches.

The Spiritual Care Advisor is for everyone, of all faiths or none. Fiona can offer confidential pastoral and spiritual care for patients and their carers. She can help if you are struggling with illness, bereavement, finding life stressful or need someone to talk to.

Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations
Book your appointment at reception. Please make an appointment at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover.
This is not an NHS service but a private consultation and therefore there is a fee per person for some travel immunisations. Staff will be pleased to advise you of the fees beforehand
